About this project:

The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and DC Design want to better understand students' experiences in exploring the pathways to becoming a physician. We seek to learn how students in different stages of their education journeys weigh choices and make decisions in pursuing careers in medicine and other health including students from Black/African American, American Indian and Alaska Native, and first-generation backgrounds.

The purpose of these interviews is to help the AAMC improve the programs and tools it offers to students, medical school advisors, guidance counselors, parents, and other trusted advisors. Volunteers who participate in this project will contribute to the understanding of student experiences and, in doing so, could contribute to improvements in the process of learning about and becoming a physician for future students.

The form will ask for information concerning the student's identity and career interests, as well as some general information about the parent/guardian and household. You may choose to exit the form and remove yourself from participation in the research project at any time.

Please note that we have a limited number of research slots available and that the completion of this form does not guarantee a spot as a participant. We will select participants from the respondents of this form.
